Sulphate removal system

Odour removal scrubber system

The system that remove odour generating components of gas effluent with H2S, Mercaptan, Ammonia.  3 steps absorption methods using the chemical available inside the factory. 
– First tower, An Acid wash column.
– Then, a chlorination tower. 
– Lastly, a caustic soda scrubber. 
the system made with fully automated equipment connecting to DCS. 

 

The Nakai Dam

The Nakai dam on the Nam Theun river, the largest hydro-electric complex in South-East Asia, produces 1070 MW most of which is exported to Thailand, and is an important contributor to the economy of Laos.

The dam is nearly ten years old, and required some overhaul. TECHLINK has been appointed as engineering consultant, with Lao company New Link Lao Sole Co Ltd, and Thai contractor Thai Polymer Engineering Co Ltd, to overhaul the water evacuation piping in the dam’s deep inspection gallery. An athletic task !

Membrane filtration system

Thailand, October 2019

TECHLINK built and installed a new membrane filtration system for the purification of brine at a large chlor-alkali facility in Thailand.

The system uses a state-of-the-art porous PTFE membrane technology licensed by Profilco B.V of The Netherlands. It will allow the recovery of waste brine produced by the traditional brine purification system.

Scrubber

SCG group, North East Thailand, 2019

TECHLINK installed a new scrubber at the outlet of a hydrochloric acid synthesis column in a large sodium chlorate and chlorine dioxide plant.

This additional scrubber will bring the emissions of hydrogen chloride down from 150 ppm to below 10 ppm, in line with the Government’s regulations, and reduce the ambiant corrosion of the neighbouring assets of the plant.

Storage expansion

As part of their effort to comply with the best environmental standards, a major Pulp & Paper company in North Thailand has missioned TECHLINK to expand their storage of hydrochloric acid from 200 m3 to 500 m3, allowing a reduction of the inventory of the more dangerous liquid chlorine.

The project started with the erection of two FRP tanks with a total capacity of 300 m3. A pumping station, an acid mixing system and two HCL vapour scrubbers were added later.

More than 300 control valves

TECHLINK designed and produced near three hundred polypropylene control valves in a record time to meet the deadline of the contruction project of the World’s current largest plant of battery chemicals.

Battery chemicals are an essential commodity of the Renewable Energy era. The markets for electric cars and energy storage facilities are rapidly expanding, promoting large investments in this specialty. This trend changed the scale of the requirement for accurate, corrosion resistant, control valves made of solid polymers.

Two large heat exchangers

Sumatera, Indonesia, December 2017. TECHLINK replaced two large heat exchangers for black liquor in one of the World’s largest Pulp & Paper Mill.

The black liquor concentrators were built some twenty years ago by a Spanish company. Over the years, some tubes leaked, other collapsed, resulting to an unacceptable drop in machinery performance. TECHLINK’s China branch remanufactured two new heaters of 45 tons each and organized the tricky logistic right up to the mill site.
